Kenley Smith
Kenley’s grant was used to purchase audio recording technology for use in the Humanities Department with the goal of the AP Literature students producing a weekly podcast and exploring the process of backwards design.
Kenley states in her proposal, "While the primary use of the technology will be in the AP class this year, a longer-term goal is additional implementation in future classes throughout the Humanities Department.The technology purchases will also make it possible for the students to explore how the principles of backwards design apply when working on a project such as a podcast. Additionally, podcasts are a medium which is growing in popularity and diversity. Brimmer students would benefit from being wellversed in this medium." Click here to read her full proposal.
